Three RoboSherpa II AGVs transport dashboards from the dashboard assembly line to the car assembly line. The AGV drives under the truck with the frame on which the dashboard is suspended, extends the lifting platform and lifts the entire truck and travels through the busy logistics route to the car assembly line. AGVs have priority, which is ensured by several traffic lights and LED light gates. The AGV must communicate with the assembly line for handover and removal of the dashboard. AGVs are bi-directional and navigated using magnetic tape.
